1975 Volkswagen 1300 Beetle

Lot: 103

Sold for (£): Unsold
Offered for sale is a 1.3L 1975 Volkswagen 1300 Beetle manual that has been with the current owner for the last year. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 101 / 135.

Classic Car Auctions says:

A brightly coloured Beetle showing 8,762 miles. Said to be highly original, we are told the vendor inherited the car at the beginning of this year, and took it straight to a Volkswagen specialist for an MoT and an IVHC check on 28/02/2015. On the MoT paperwork, we can see they replaced the o/s/f and the o/s/r wheel cylinder and brake shoes f.o.c.

Supplied with three previous MoT certificates and several SORN certificates together with the paperwork and odometer reading, which the vendor feels indicates that this car has not been driven much.

The first MoT certificate present was issued on October 3rd, 1989 and expired October 2nd, 1990, (mileage 5,876) the second MoT certificate was issued on July 13th, 1993 and expired July 12th, 1994 (5,882), and the third certificate was issued on August 28th, 2002 and expired on August 27th, 2003 (5900) suggesting that the car has spent many years in storage. The steel wheels have a little surface rust but, other than that this cheerful Mustard Beetle appears in good order.

Brakes: Wheels/Tyres:

When I purchased the car I took it to have an MoT and the only advisories were the nearside front wheel bearing had slight play and the offside front wheel bearing was the same. I had this corrected straight away by Volkswagen themselves and I have the relevant invoice. There are no other problems with this car as far as I am aware.

Minor: Major:

Low wave and medium wave radio, original from date of first registration.

Vehicle History

I was only given three MoT test certificates which were carried out in 1989, 1993 and 2003. I do not know if it has had any other MoT'S but it has been SORN'd numerous times therefore I do not think there are any other certificates. Other than that I have everything else.
