Classic Car Auctions says:

Very rare GT version of the first generation TA22 Coupe...

  • The GT featured wider wheels, a five-speed gearbox and lowered suspension
  • This is an original, UK-supplied, RHD car first registered on 25/10/1978
  • Restored in the late 90s to a show-winning standard in its original Red (336)
  • Still presents extremely well, having covered only 9,631 miles since the restoration
  • Really smart interior in black that has obviously been looked after since the retrim
  • The 1.6 twin-cam engine apparently runs well having had a top-end rebuild at the same time
  • A very rare Celica GT in wonderful condition that really deserves to be taken to lots of shows
