Classic Car Auctions says:

Unique BMW Z3-based homage to the legendary 275GTB NART Spider...

  • The Scaglietti-designed 275 GTB/4S NART Spider was an open 2-seater version of the 275 GTB/4
  • Only ten of these were ever built (in 1967) and one sold for 27.5 million dollars in 2013
  • Based on a 1998, 2.8-litre,190bhp Z3, this car is the unique creation of our race-engineer vendor
  • The body is a one-off' commission by a GRP laminating specialist and is designed to fit over the de-panelled, rolling Z3 platform structure
  • All mechanical aspects of the BMW are as normal, engine, gearbox, suspension, wiring, dashboard
  • Rear Z4 hub conversion. New discs. Stainless 6 x 15" knock on wire wheels. Splined hubs
  • Period-style interior with bucket seats, harness seat belts, wood rimmed wheel. Electric power hood
  • Full stainless steel front and rear Harrington bumpers to original spec. Honeycomb front grille
  • Hand-made aluminium windscreen trim. New period stainless/chrome door handles and side mirrors
  • Period-correct front and rear sidelights, fog and reversing lights all fully compliant
  • Finished in Mondial Red, a darker shade of red which really suits the car. No badges fitted
  • Current MOT until 2021. Correctly re-registered with updated V5c

  • Completed earlier this year, fully road tested and now ready for the summer
  • The car is built to a very high standard and remains the one and only example. The best of both worlds, sound German engineering and Sixties Italian flair
